Payment

The means of payment accepted by Air Tahiti are cash and checks.

Credit/debit cards are not accepted.


Passenger contact information in the PNR

It’s possible that the flight schedule may change while your client is already in Polynesia. Air Tahiti will be able to advise him directly but only if we know their contact information on each island (hotel name, for example) and the name of the in-bound handling agency.

This contact information is to be put in the OSI field of the PNR.


A well-built PNR includes information which contributes to the reliability of your client's trip

International arrival flights to Tahiti : this information will help us manage situations in which the international flight is late (delaying our flights, postponing passengers...).

If a PNR is built with active international flights (international reservations + Air Tahiti), the inbound and outbound international segments will automatically be transmitted to our Gabriel reservation system.

For independent reservations including only Air Tahiti flights, please manually insert the international flight information in the SSR field.

International departure flights from Tahiti : This information is equally very important when the client returns to Tahiti from the islands to take an international flight on the same day or even the next day.

Contact information during the entire trip : This information allows the passenger to be notified in case of unforeseen circumstances.


Reservation Systems

Air Tahiti flights are hosted in the Gabriel reservation system of SITA/Atlanta.

They are also distributed on Amadeus/System One, Galileo/Apollo, Sabre, Worldspan and on certain other airline systems (NZ, LX, ...).

Schedule changes are not updated in real time. If this happens while you are holding a PNR, it will be placed on queue with the new schedule that you will need to validate.

Booking classes

Y Class : point to point, round trip, point to point Child, and Pass fares. 20 kg (44 lb) baggage allowance per person

Z Class : point to point, round trip, point to point Child, and Pass fares. 50 kg (110 lb) baggage allowance per person

L Class : Travel agency reduced rates. When not displayed, reservations should be made directly by Air Tahiti.


MCT- Minimum connection time

Minimum time between the arrival and the departure of two consecutive flights in the same PNR.

  • D-D :
    • Air Tahiti to Air Tahiti : 45 mn
  • I-D :
    • International to Air Tahiti : 90 mn
  • D-I :
    • Air Tahiti to International : 120 mn

If a connection is missed due to a fault pertaining to Air Tahiti and all the flights involved are in the same PNR, Air Tahiti will assume responsibility for the passenger.



Exceptions, particularities :

  • Certain "built-in" connections made by Air Tahiti have only a 15 minute connection time. This is the case of connections with an aircraft change in Rangiroa : BOBTIH, BOBFAV, BOBNHV. You can book them in all confidence.

  • International flights may arrive late. Whenever possible, allow for a connecting time greater than 90 minutes.
  • The D-I connection only concerns MOZPPT-International and BOBPPT-International.
