Airpass general
rules
• Adult fare (over 12 years) and
child (2 to 11 years), there
is no Airfare Pass for infants.
• All Passes usually starts from Tahiti or
Moorea, but can be started from another island.
• There is no obligation to select an itinerary that covers
all the
islands of the Pass.
• Open segments are not allowed.
• The full Pass itinerary including
Extension if any,
should not exceed 28 days.
• All passes are usually closed circuits, but it is possible
to substitute any sectors by other means of transportation than Air
Tahiti. Put ARNK in the PNR in lieu of the missing sector.
• An extenstion generally requires a transit or stopover in
Tahiti when connecting with the Pass, thus constituing an exception to
the stopover/transit rule.
Pass including
several
islands (Archipelago's
map)
• For Airpasses covering more than one archipelago, the
selected islands of a given archipelago must be visited in a same
sequence, before going to the other archipelago (eg islands of
the Society archipelago must be visited before those of the Tuamotu
archipelago).
• The islands within an archipelago can be visited in any
order you
want, subject to the flight schedule of Air Tahiti.
• Archipelago 1 can be visited before archipelago 2, or vice
versa.
Stopover and
transit in Tahiti
No stopover permitted in Tahiti
within the pass (i.e. no return to Tahiti during the pass)
Exception for the Lagoon Pass YD220 or ZD220: a return to PPT
between Moorea and the Tuamotu archipelago is permitted.
Stopover on an
island other than
Tahiti
• Only one stopover per
island (stop of more than
24h) is authorized.
• A transit (stop of less than 24 hours) with
a flight number
change is considered as a stopover.
Exception 1: Bora Bora - Tikehau, or
Manihi, or Fakarava (via Rangiroa) where a flight number change and
stop less than 2 hours is considered as a transit, not a stopover.
Exception 2: Papeete - Ua Pou or Ua
Huka or Hiva Oa (Atuona) via Nuku Hiva and vice versa where a flight
number change and stop less than 4 hours is considered as a transit,
not a stopover.
Extension(s)
• An extension must be purchased
in conjunction
with a Pass.
• Extensions must be made before or
after a pass (not within
the Pass).
• It is possible to purchase both extensions.
• A return to PPT is authorized between the Pass and the extension
within the same day or until the day of the next available flight
Change,
cancellation and
refund conditions of Airpasses fares
Changes
• Before international departure: changes permitted.
• After international departure: no changes permitted.
- Before the arrival in French
Polynesia: permitted with no fee
- After the arrival in French Polynesia:
no changes permitted
Cancellation /
Refund
• Before international departure: refundable
• After international departure: charge 50% of the fare
Ticketing (Travel
agency)
• Open segments are not permitted
• Ticket can be issued only if all flights are booked and confirmed
• The A and M codes of Marquesas and Austral
Extensions must
be positioned after the Pass YDxxx fare code (eg YD230A).
• Complete routing must be manually mentionned in
the "fare calculation" box.
• When there is a seasonality fare change, it is the
departure
date of the Pass that determines the fare level.
• The original/reissued ticket must be annotated - NONREF
• The original/reissued ticket must be annotated - NONEND - in the
endorsement box
• During the ticketing, indicate in the "Endorsement Box": "fare
subject to special conditions non-refundable"
• There is no tour code to indicate
• Ticket should be priced in XPF and converted in the currency
of your country in the "Equiv. Fare paid"
• At issuance, the following breakdown should appear on the
ticket:
- the fare "taxes and surcharges"
excluded
- the global amount of "taxes and
surcharges" to be indicated in a unique tax field codified PF
• PTA not permitted
