avec une escale d 1/2 heure aux gambier offrant ainsi un plus grand nombre de sieges disponibles. bien que l atr72 soit d une capacite de 66 sieges, l offre commerciale est toutefois limitee a 60 sieges par vol, en raison de l emport carburant du a la distance. outre cet avantage, l atr72 permet egalement aux passagers de beneficier de meilleures conditions de voyages, avec entre autres, un service boisson offert a bord (eau, jus, the et cafe). a noter que tureia est desservie au depart de tahiti, a raison de 3 a 4 vols mensuels. tureia situated 1,190 km southeast of tahiti, the atoll of tureia can now welcome atr 72s thanks to upgrades made to the airstrip. before this time, passengers to tureia had to take a complicated flight to papeete/tatakoto/pukarua/reao by atr42, and then a second flight of reao/tureia in a beechcraft which only accommodates nine passengers. this itinerary meant it took 6 hours and 20 minutes to reach tureia from tahiti. starting on july 5th 2007, air tahiti offers direct flights to tureia with atr 72s and the flight time is now only 2 hours and 45 minutes. when this island was only served by beechcraft, only six seats were commercially available because of fuel issues. with the new atr 72s, 6o seats are commercially available -
