Q : Information to supply at booking
A : Air Tahiti wishes you to have the most pleasant travel possible, help us. At booking, you have to communicate your last and first names as they appear on your ID document.
According to regulation, the last and first names mentioned on your ticket have to be the same than the ones on your ID document. In case of the non correlation of these data, your check-in won’t be made and you could be refused to carriage without the possibility to claim any compensation later on. In this case, an other ticket will be issued and your first ticket will be reimbursed but refund fares may be applied.
Furthermore, we inform you that ID document is mandatory at check-in and during all your travel.
Moreover, some information are important for us : your phone numbers at departure island and in each stopover, hotels names, your children age, your Air Tahiti card number and date of validity, connecting flights, any particular assistance demands (wheelchair…).
Note your booking reference number which would allow an instant search.
Q : Flight schedules...
A : Air Tahiti has two flight schedules a year: a spring schedule (from april 15th to november 11th) and a winter schedule (from november 12th to april 14th). If the bookings are done just before a period schedule change, modifications such as departure time changes and, more rarely, date changes may occur.
Air Tahiti flights have a high rate of regularity and punctuality but we underline that the published schedules can be subject to modifications even after confirmation of you reservation and the ticket issue.
If we have your contact on the islands where you are staying, Air Tahiti or your travel agency will notify you immediately of any changes on bookings done at the earliest. Air Tahiti is not responsible for any changes affecting your journey due to flight schedule changes. Please do not hesitate to ask for information.
Q : When should I pick up my tickets ?
A : When you make your reservation, Air Tahiti will notify you with the final date to have the tickets issued. This will allow you sufficient time to proceed with other arrangements concerning your trip (hotels, excursions, etc.) . Commonly called the option date, it is the limit date after which our reservation system will automatically cancel your reservation if the corresponding ticket has not been issued. This automatic monitoring system allows us to validate reservations and confirm passengers on waiting lists.
Q : I would like to modify my reservation
A :
Modification and cancellation rules vary depending on the fare
conditions of your ticket.
• If your ticket has not
been issued yet, please contact the travel agency who
created your
booking in order to change it. No fees will be applied. If you have
made your booking through our website, please
click here.
• If your ticket has
already been issued :
> Change rules for one way and
round trip fares are as follows :

Your original ticket will be refunded. Fees
may apply.
2. A new ticket will be issued after collection or refund of the fare
difference between the original and the new ticket. |

> If your ticket has been issued
by an organization other than Air Tahiti, please contact directly your
initial ticket issuing organization (travel agency, tour operator,
airline other than Air Tahiti) in order to obtain the fare rules that
apply to your ticket.
Q : I would like to cancel my trip
A : You decide to no longer travel on the flight you are booked on. Please call the (+689) 86 42 42 to cancel your reservation, in order to release a seat for another passenger and thus to avoid paying cancellation fees.
NB: Our opening hours (local times) are Monday to Friday, from 7am to 5pm. Saturday morning and public holidays, from 8am to 11am.
Q : What will happen if I you leave on another flight ?
A : If you did not have the opportunity to modify your reservation in advance and you show up directly for a flight other than the originally reserved flight, please advise the check-in agent. Otherwise, our reservation system will see that you were absent from the confirmed flight and will suppose that you cancelled your trip and in turn will cancel the remainder of your confirmed reservation to free up seats for other passengers.
Q : Should flights be reconfirmed ?
A : Reconfirmation of your flight is necessary only in the following situations :
1/ We do not have your contact at each stopover. Please reconfirm your flight 24 hours prior to your departure.
2/ The flight that you boarded is not the one you were booked on. Please reconfirm the remaining part of your trip, upon arrival.
3/ You are travelling to the Marquesas, the Eastern Tuamotu, the Gambier, or to another Air Tahiti destination that is serviced by the Dornier or Twin Otter. Please reconfirm your departure one week before. Air Tahiti invites you to call and check the departure time of your flight to avoid waiting in case of a delay. Therefore please contact Air Tahiti on the island or the Air Tahiti's call center at (689) 86 42 42.
